Het is prachtig om te zien dat deze vorm van kunst nog steeds bestaat. Keer op keer verrast Sebastiaan mij met zijn ideeën. Ik noem het een pure vorm van vakmanschap. Ik denk dat niemand in Nederland op deze unieke manier onze tas een bepaalde uitstraling kan geven. For the small organ in The New Church I was looking for ‘runners’, long strips of fabric or leather that protect the keys when not being played. The organ and keyboards are mid-17th-century, and are among the best of that time. Sebastiaan van Soest made for this purpose a special kind of gilded leather, which is flexible and can comply with the keys.
